Proud Stories: Sami Griffith (She/Her)

Q: What kind of performance artist are you?

An actor / comedian.

Q: When did you first know that you wanted to be a full-time artist?

I can’t remember a time I wanted to be anything else.

Q: How are you keeping yourself inspired to create during this unprecedented time?

I tried to think about this year as an opportunity for zero distractions, what did I want to create?

Q: What is the biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome as an artist and how did you overcome it?

My own perfectionism and self doubt.

Q: What are you most proud of in your career thus far?

When I’m able to combine acting with activism.

Q: Is there anything you are working on now that can be shared and supported?

My Feminist Fuel Series on Instagram @sami.griffith. The goal is to use comedy to educate fellow humans (especially those in more sheltered areas) by giving them bite-size social justice & feminist facts that they can understand, remember, and act upon.
